From the moment you reach out, I learn about your motherhood journey if you're open to share. I try to find a quiet place + a calm setting for every session that will allow your family's story to unfold naturally. I want to assure you that your Experience is just as important to me as your photos. During our time together, we'll walk, relax, and truly disconnect from your busy life. You get to soak it all in and just hang out with your favourite humans. This is your time!
For an hour, I need you to trust me. Know that Im ready for anything that comes my way. I know sometimes mama's are scared that their babes will not cooperate, but rest assured that some of my most emotive sessions are when they want nothing to do with it. You'll do some consoling and that's okay. It'll be just like an adventure. If you have older babes, they'll want to trow some rocks and play with sticks and that's okay too. That's what it's all about. We'll pick flowers and walk to distract them, the girls will dance and twirl their dresses, you'll snuggle and tell stories. You'll sit and play in the water...and you'll get dirty. Yes dirty!
How I approach my work
Perfection is not my goal, capturing real, raw, tangible moments are. My way of photographing a family is completely organic. With all that being said, I cannot tell a story without all the other pieces coming together like Neutral + Earthy tones styling (outfits), location and light. I have spots that will provide beautiful backdrops + suit your families needs. Please keep in mind that your session will be during golden hour, one hour before sunset. I also plan for more tranquil + intimate moments when the time is right. It makes it all come together and creates a memorable experience and timeless photographs that will bring you to tears! Being a mom myself, I know exactly how you feel when it comes to capturing it all!

Dreaming of an epic location for your session? My bags are already packed! Travel sessions include my time for coming to you, sixty to nighty minutes session + hand edited images. I also have Scheduled payment plans available upon request.
Please note that I will be keeping travel sessions for "out of this world" landscapes! In the Moncton area, I have spots in Cap-Pelé, Hopewell Rocks and Cap-Lumière. Up North near Campbelton, I have spots near Matapédia and Belledune. Mama's that book me must be willing create with me using the Client Closet.
You have my heart and soul poured into you right from the start. I typical shoot in dreamy light; Sunrise or Sunset. Once we find a date, a $200 non-refundable down payment is required to secure the session date in my calendar and can be payed by e-transfer. The down is deducted from the total amount of your session and balance can be payed at session. Must be willing to wear something from my client closet or purchase a few items to make this session a master piece. When the day is upon us, we will meet at a spot and drive to the location we planned together. Four weeks after the session, your digital high resolution files will be downloadable from an online gallery. So exciting!

For this year, my main location to shoot at is Cap-Pelé. I would also be very exited to go to Hopewell Rocks! It's a place I love to shoot at and it creates something OUT OF THIS WORLD! I book sessions at that time of year (June) so we aren't swamped with tourist and if there are, the spots are so vast (immense) that I can find backdrops that are secluded, especially at the Hopewell Rocks location. Just an extra note to bring a few dollars to catch a ride down the hill so we don't have a to walk all the way. We'll only have to go down the stairs and walk a little to find the best backdrops. It's an adventure!! Also, the time of the session may vary depending on when the tide goes down. I will keep you updated a few weeks before our session. The closer we are to the Sunset, the more the light will be beautiful and flattering.

What do we do if rain is forecast?
Heavy rain/ Storm we will probably have to cancel and will give you a full refund of your down payment but if the forecast is 40-50% or less we will go ahead with the session.
Where do I reach you?
Please know that absolutely appreciate each and every one of you when inquiring but please note that I would prefer being reach out on Facebook messenger rather than on instagram. I have a lot of people that reach out and it's so much easier to manage incoming inquiries and our ongoing messaging from one place. I have tried implementing this for years but this year I will insist on it. Thanks in advance!
How does the Client Closet work?
If you haven't found it yet, it's listed in the Welcome Guide amongst other places here and there on the website.
If you plan on wearing a few pieces from the client closet, please let me know. Just screen shot the ones you want and send them to me. I will bring the ones you're interested in and you'll be able to try them in your vehicle to see if you love them right before your session. We'll plan extra time.
I usually add quality, versatile, comfy + flowy dresses so there should be no issue for the fit if it's your usual size. Let me know if you'd like to wear some of them and I'll make a note to get them ready for the day of your shoot. I can't wait to see what you pick!
When should I book my maternity session?
I usually recommend for expecting mama to book at the 30 week mark.
When do I book my newborn session?
I usually shoot my little Newborns within their first 30 days of life. Little outfits and basket is included!
As for avalabilities, it's best to book your session when you book your maternity. If not, I might not have availabilities to shoot within their first 30 days of life.
What style of newborn session do you offer?
I offer a natural baby lead style. Outfits and little wraps are definitely my go to! You should see what I have in my client closet for the your little one. You will love it!
Is it better to have professional makeup and hair done?
No. Not at all! The only instance I would recommend a hair dresser is if you want those curls to last longer.
What time will my session be?
If your session is in-home, to get the best light is usually at 10:30 in the morning.
Outdoor sessions are scheduled 1-2 hours before sunset, this varies of the location, weather, and time of year. Please consider that summer sessions will be later in the evening, and fall sessions will be earlier. I understand that this may be late for your kids, but unfortunately I cannot achieved the dreamy golden tones if I shoot mid-day. Mid-day the shadows are harsh and the photos are not flattering. I hope you understand.
Where will my session be?
No stress! As for location, I have pre-determined spots because I know exactly how the light is and the photographs turn out in the most spectacular way. Let me know if you have another backdrop in mind,!
What to wear?
Please chat with me. I truly believe that outfits can make a session. I have a client closet and a welcome guide with tips on what to wear. As I am specializing and diving deeper into my style, Neutral + warm earthy tones outfits are an important part of your session (Browns, rust, khaki green, creams etc.)
Do you do sneak peaks?
Like last year, I will not be sending sneak peaks due to it taking me away from delivering your gallery in a reasonable time frame. For the moment, waiting time for your images is 4 weeks after our session.
Is Photography your bread winner?
Yes absolutely! in 2019, I was determined on making it happen when my son was born to make this my full time career. I have always been extremely creative and that is one of the things that kept me going through hardships in my life.
In June 2020, Solis Light Photo was officially established and I never looked back after that! I started from scratch, without education whatsoever in photography to being published in more than 10 magazines. I am self taught and have mentored with 3 talented photographers so far. Keeping those wheels turning is important to keep a fresh outlook on my art and how to better serve you. It also helps me keep the passion alive!
I travel all New Brunswick all the way up to Campbelton all the way down the Moncton area. The beach and Rocky coast, my favorite! To humbly add, mama's from all over including Ontario and Nova Scotia come to see me for the unique experience and style that I offer. Im so so grateful!!
I can't wait to see what the futur holds! There are so many possibilities to flourish through this beautiful creative adventure that I have started with you just 5 years ago. It feels like it was just yesterday but the years go by so quickly!

my session?
1 - See Collections
You're doing this for you mama! Take a look at the Collections and choose whichever one is right for you and your family.
2 - Reach out!
The best way to get in touch with me is by messenger and from there I will send you directions to see collections and how I approach my work with you. Let me know what you're looking for your dream shoot and who will be a part of the session. I'll answer any questions or worries you may have!
3 - Booking Process
Once you've looked at the information and you're ready to book, I will send you a link to walk you through the steps of booking your session. Once this process is completed, your date will be secured in my schedule.
4 - Session Planning
After your booking, I will send you resources that are included within your Welcome Guide and client closet.
5 - Day of
Take it all in. This is your time and if you can relax on the day of, please do! Make it an event! For the session, don't forget that everything ALWAYS works out!
6 - Photo Gallery
Your final images should be ready within 4 weeks and will be delivered and downloadable from an online gallery. Easy peasy! then, enjoy your memories for a lifetime!
